Want to know how can you make your skin look perfect without using ineffective cosmetic products? The best way to the maintenance of your skin is to start eating foods. It’s my personal experience that foods help a lot in making skin fresh and look beautiful. Five months ago, I had terrible acne, but now I have a glowy skin without any marks on it. It may seem hard, but it is beneficial and affordable. Remember, be choosy in foods because some foods can make your skin worse while some can enhance your skin.
Let’s get into some effective foods for your skin.
Red Bell Peppers
Red bell peppers are savory vegetables; we can enjoy it in any form, either cooked or raw. One red bell pepper makes up more than 100% of your everyday needs of vitamin C. Abundance of Vitamin B6 and dietary fiber is also present in it. Besides, it has a significant amount of carotenoids that assist in increasing the blood circulation in the skin and keep you away from wrinkles, making you look younger. Red Bell peppers also help prevent acne due to these carotenoids.
Red bell pepper is a perfect snack that contains 30 calories and has a crunchy bite. Put some slices of it in your fridge every time so that you can have this healthy snack anytime.
Dark Chocolate
One of my favorite foods that are perfect for skin is Dark Chocolate. Fatty acids, antioxidants, and flavanols are present in it that brings a glow to the skin. Through the antioxidants, you will get smooth skin and will remain protected from sunburn. Cocoa keeps your arteries relax, which increase blood circulation, and as a result, you will have flawless and healthier skin.
I usually buy low-fat cocoa powder or raw cocoa. If you love to eat dark chocolate, then I suggest you use chocolate with 80% of cocoa; don’t use those typical chocolate bars with added sugars and milk.
Salmon
An incredible food to relieve stress, depression, and anxiety is SALMON. Your daily Vitamin D needs can also be fulfilled through Salmon. Vitamin D is essential for the health of your brain, bones, heart, and colon. It also keeps you away from anxiety, colon cancer, depression, bone, and heart diseases.
Salmon also has an ample amount of Omega-3 fatty acids, which are great for preventing acne, wrinkles, and inflammation. Omega-3 keeps your skin hydrated inside out. Also, your hair can get healthy and strong by eating Salmon.
Coconut Oil
Another hearty food which I will discuss here is coconut oil. It is rich in saturated fats (which has almost 90% of calories as saturated fats). It is also enriched with a powerful antivirus and antibacterial agent, lauric acid. It prevents acne, inflammation, infections, and viruses. Coconut oil is also a rich source of Vitamin E, which helps in keeping your skin soft, moist, and free of wrinkles.
I take one tablespoon of coconut oil every day and use it as a body lotion. It mainly keeps your thyroid healthy. Also, you can lose weight by using coconut oil regularly. There are many benefits, so start using it from today.
Green Tea
Maybe you think that green tea is a beverage, but it is actually extracted from a plant. Green tea is enriched with L-theanine and antioxidants, which lower your stress level and relax your body.
In hot tea, catechins are released by bionic brew, which has anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties. Green tea is also best for controlling your blood pressure. Try to take three or more cups per day.
Spinach
Another food enriched with a lot of nutrients that you mostly use in your diet is Spinach. Spinach provides many nutrients such as chlorophyll, folate, iron, magnesium, fiber, vitamin C, plant protein, Vitamin A, etc. Vitamin C, E, A has antioxidant properties that are useful for your skin.
Spinach is a cure for all your skin problems because of the abundance of antioxidants. Use this fantastic food in your daily routine to get clear and flawless skin.
Seeds
Some seeds that are good for your skin are flax seeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, hemp seeds, chia seeds. Sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds are a great source of magnesium, Vitamin E and protein, and selenium. Protein and selenium effectively keep you away from wrinkles; vitamin E moisturizes your skin while magnesium helps lower stress levels. Flax, hemp, and chia seeds have healthy omega-three fatty acids, which helps to prevent acne and wrinkles. All these seeds have protein in them.
For perfect and smooth skin, sprinkles seeds on your oatmeal, fruit yogurt, or salad. You can also add seeds to your smoothies. Which seed do you like the most? How do you take them? Let us know in the comment box below.
Celery
Celery is another food that is effective for the skin. Never ignore this veggie as it is enriched with vitamin K that reduces blood pressure and keeps healthy blood circulation. Resultantly it will lessen your stress; stress badly affects your skin and cause migraines and sometimes cancer.
Celery is also a natural source of potassium, sodium, and water, which keep your body hydrated. As you all know, dehydration can cause dryness, wrinkles, flaking, and skin inflammation. I recommend you take celery daily (if not daily, take at least every other day). Another benefit of celery is that it has low calories.
Papaya
Papaya is enriched with many nutrients that are beneficial for the skin. It has low calories with no cholesterol. So, it is also useful in losing weight. A very little fructose is present in papaya, which is good for digestion. Antioxidants, such as beta-carotene, vitamin C, and Vitamin E, are sufficient to prevent acne. Vitamin C is also present, which saves your skin from the sun.
