Body composition testing is a single (or multiple) way or ways of measuring your body and just how fit you really are. There are multiple ways to test your body composition. Skinfold measurement, girth measurements, body weight, hydrostatic weight, bioelectric impedance, dual-energy X-Ray absorptiometry (DEXA), near infrared interactance, or Total Body Potassium (TBK). Other ways, such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) are available, but are unnecessary – if you’ve got easier means of measuring your body’s composition. These many ways of measuring your body’s composition vary in ease of measurement, cost, and accuracy.
Most training methods or exercise programs drill into decreasing your Body Mass Index (BMI) and modifying your body’s size and composition in some way.
How long does it last?
Body composition testing particularly lasts twenty to forty minutes, depending on how many or what type of tests you are conducting. Body Comp Testing is only one small piece to getting your body looking better.
It is said that in order to better your body composition, a quality fitness plan in addition to a lean diet will benefit your body and personal health.
